Formby
Founded in 1884 Formby is one of the classic courses along the northwest coastline. It is set in a magnificent pine forest and with the wind blowing in from the Irish Sea, it makes it a formidable links course, Formby has made its name as a major venue for women's golf and has an independent course, Formby Ladies, within the boundaries of the main course.
Formby has been declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with the dunes surrounding the course as a designated conservation area. Despite its exposure to the elements, the course is kept in excellent order as it is open all year round. Accuracy off the tees is essential for scoring well here.
Formby Golf Club also has its own Dormy House, so you can enjoy excellent golf as well as accommodation onsite.
