The host of the 2006 Open Championship, Royal Liverpool
is the second oldest English seaside course. Built in 1869,
the course requires skill and courage, as any loose shot
will be severely punished. A club graced in tradition and
a host to many of today's international events, Royal Liverpool is one of the truly great British courses.
The course was revamped for the 2006 Open, in which
Tiger Woods magnificently claimed his third career Open
title. Steeped in history, Royal Liverpool is a memorable
course that has every ingredient for a classic experience
for golfers of all standards.
